Read and enjoyed a review/summary of my short story The Card, by Zeyad Ahmed, an Egyptian student. I love to read what other people think of my stories, don’t really mind if it’s good or bad. But Zeyad described me as American!
As much as I like my cousins across the water, I’m not American, I’m Anglo Scot – my family are Ross from Caithness and MacNeil from Barra, plus a bunch of Westmarch Reivers, from the English side of the border.
Mercenaries, musicians and cattle thieves.
Say what you like about my stories, but get my ancestry right.
PS: Will be posting Dealer No. 1 – the full-length novel based on The Card – in chapters, soon.
