colours

Sitting in MaccyDs editing DN1 while listening to Antifragile on audiobook. Nassim Taleb makes the point that in ancient times people did not have names for many of the colours we have now. They knew the colours but they had no name for them. So blue was known to be a colour, how could it not, but it wasn’t a named colour, hence Homer’s references to the ‘wine-dark sea’. They had no word for blue.

I wonder what colours we are aware of that we haven’t yet named.

And what multiple things remain unnamed?
