There’s probably no single cause of my migraines, but more importantly there’s no single cure. Daily exercise helps, meditation too, the drugs just dull my mind a bit, but they work, and I’ve come to realise that cutting down on how much time I spend hunched over this macbook will probably help too.
If a laptop purdah helps reduce the daily cycle of visual disturbances, mood swings, headaches, muscle aches, bad stomachs and so on, then I’m for it.
There are lots of implications however, not least in terms of my writing, but I’d happily agree to cut off an arm if it stopped the migraines. But in the absence of a clear arm-loss/non-migraine treatment any time soon, I might have to learn to write by hand, instead of tapping away at a keyboard.
