I took a 5-day sabbatical from the world of electronic media which, for me, mainly means texting, reading news and current events, and watching youtube. Still, that small-ish footprint absorbed a large part of my day and without it I found myself faced with acres of space and quiet.
The 5 days went fast.
Did a lot of meditating, or maybe my meditating wasn’t blurred by the white noise of electronic media, so it was deeper and more successful. I also put down my kindle for 5 days and read actual books instead. Three novels and one non-fiction.
And now I’m back online, but maybe not so much. I think I’ll do this e-tox on a regular basis.
