Day 1 of my sojourn into a world without the internet (save for work-based stuff, and this journal)*
It feels strange, but exhilarating, the sense of the world opening up before me, rather than closing in with every news article or YT podcast I consume. Seriously, it’s like taking drugs. There’s a sense of space widening out in every direction. My mental hard drive is thanking me.
And I’m listening to lots of music.
I began reading Bonjour Tristesse on Wednesday night, and finished it Thursday. I’m not sure what I think of Cécile and her father. But it’s a beautiful story.
*posted a day late as I’m limiting even my access to this journal.
